Meet the Owner
Let me tell you a little about myself, and hopefully, you will understand how we operate our agency and our motives for success.
Let's begin at the tail end of Eddie's adolescence. During the Vietnam War era, Eddie joined the 82nd Airborne division. Eddie was young and impressionable, and the military quickly taught him the value of responsibility and accountability. Also, these values were reinforced early in Eddie's childhood while growing up on a large cattle ranch. After serving and receiving an honorable discharge, Eddie headed off to college (thanks to the GI Bill). He double majored in Computer Science and Psychology.
While in undergraduate school, Eddie was nominated to the university's honor program and named to Who's Who Among Students in American Universities and Colleges. Eddie was recognized for academic achievements during graduate school and later was asked to join the university as an instructor in the Computer Science Department. Much of Eddie’s career was spent in the Aerospace industry, developing cutting edge technologies and pushing the envelope of new software systems. Also, Eddie wrote several research papers of which some were published in the prestigious IEEE journal. Much of the work was recognized with awards from Japan, Europe, and the United States. Likewise, Eddie developed many advances in Computer Science and much of the work was patented by the United States Patent and Trademark Office.
After 20 plus years in academia and Computer Science R&D, Eddie decided to leave Silicon Valley and head to beautiful Colorado and settle into the rural lifestyle. In 2007 he decided to start Eytchison Insurance Agency. Eddie operates a successful family run business and practices old fashion values. Unlike many insurance agencies, Eddie comes from a strict engineering background and looks at insurance from a different perspective.
For example, who would you hire to build a bridge: A salesman or an engineer? The salesman is going to make sure the bridge has beautiful colors and intricate scrollwork. But the first time you drive across the bridge, it will collapse. The engineer might not put all the pretty bows on the bridge, but you know it is going to last and will provide a structure of integrity. Similarly, Eddie's engineering background provides him with a different prospect when building an insurance solution. Our agency develops policies motivated not by sales commissions but by doing the right thing! We offer services and products that protect what is important to you and explain the technical issues of insurance making sure your questions are answered to your satisfaction.
